01 · What TravelCities is

"By using this site, you agree to these terms. They're written plainly because a contract you don't understand isn't a contract worth keeping."

TravelCities Editions Ltd ("we", "us", "the desk") operates this site at travelcities.com. We help travellers compose trips made of components — hotels and flights — operated by third parties. We are a booking facilitator and an editorial publisher of travel notes. We are not the hotel, the airline, or the carrier.

02 · Definitions in this document

Cart — the in-progress list of components you've added to your trip. Auto-saved to your browser and our servers. Identified by a trip ID starting with TR-.
Component — a single item in your cart: a hotel room, or a flight segment.
Operator — the hotel chain or airline that physically delivers the component. Hilton, Marriott, IndiGo, United, etc.
Confirmation — the unique reference (starting GW-) issued when you check out and we charge your card. It's the proof of booking we send by email.
Service fee — a flat fee, currently $9.50, added to every confirmed trip. It covers running this site and the desk.

03 · Your account & cart

An account is not required to compose a trip; we identify carts by a trip ID stored in your browser. If you do create an account, the email and password you provide are yours to manage. We do not require ID verification.

Carts auto-save and persist on our servers for 90 days from last activity. After that, an unconfirmed cart may be archived and is no longer recoverable from the site. We may retain anonymised metadata for analytics.

04 · Pricing, fees & charges

The price shown on a component includes the operator's nightly rate (for hotels) or fare-class price (for flights), and is what you'll be charged at confirmation. We add a single, flat service fee per trip and an estimated tax at checkout. Both are shown plainly before you confirm.

05 · Cancellation & refunds

Each component carries its own cancellation policy from the operator. The policy is shown on the component before you add it and is summarised in your confirmation email.

06 · Third-party operators

The actual hotel stay or flight is provided by the operator. Their terms apply to the on-the-ground experience — check-in age, baggage allowance, pet policies, dress codes, etc. We surface the operator's identity on every component so you know who you're dealing with at the door or gate.

07 · Accuracy & mistakes

We work hard to keep inventory and pricing accurate. In the rare case of a mismatch with the operator at booking time, we will notify you within 24 hours and either:

We don't shift losses from our errors onto travellers.

08 · Your conduct

By using this site you agree:

09 · Liability & warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TravelCities is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from a third-party operator's actions — delayed flights, hotel closures, missed connections, weather, force majeure. For losses caused by our direct error (incorrect confirmation, payment processed but not booked, etc.), we accept responsibility up to the total value of the affected trip.

The site is provided "as is". We make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available in every jurisdiction. Your statutory consumer-protection rights are not affected.

10 · Disputes & governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are first to be raised with our desk and given 30 days to resolve. After that, they may be referred to mediation, then to the courts of London (for UK and EU users) or to AAA arbitration in Delaware (for US users), as applicable. Indian users may instead use the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum local to them.

Nothing here prevents you from raising a claim with your card issuer, payment authority, or national consumer body.

11 · Changes to these terms

If we change these terms materially, we'll show a notice in your account and on this page at least 14 days before the change applies. Trips confirmed before the change are governed by the terms in effect at the time of confirmation. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
